Amanda Ottinger

Organization Development & Improvement Consultant

With a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, Amanda worked in community mental health for 6 years in GA and 2 years in Houston. The goal post-graduate school was to join a private clinical practice but discovered in completing her internship that counseling was not her passion. Soon Amanda was given the opportunity to run a residential treatment center in Houston and obtained her LCCA. Amanda was privileged to develop and start the first two safe houses in TX, for Commercial Sexually Exploited Youth. After consulting and helping start up agencies develop their programs, Amanda moved to the hill country to be near her parents, and was given the opportunity to join Rock Solid Foundation to strengthen her knowledge in the foster care system.

In Amanda’s free time she enjoys running, hiking, finding new local spots in which to dine and shop, and she loves taking road trips. Amanda enjoys all the moments with her 17-yo mini dachshund named Tex. Amanda is still discovering the hill country and learning to kayak and is excited to put her road and mountain bikes to good use again.
